About
Study Buddies 4 Equity is a coalition of high school students, college students, and teachers looking to support Nashville K-12 students through tutoring as supplemental to their virtual learning. We match study buddies with K-12 students to supplement students' virtual learning through tutoring.
Tutoring is 100% free of charge; all tutors are volunteersIf a family wishes to pay for tutoring, all proceeds will be donated to: BLM Nashville, Conexión Americas, The Equity Alliance, and Epic Girl. Tutors are available to help in person, via Zoom, or a mix of the twoIf meeting in person, tutors will prioritize health and safety by undergoing temperature checks, wearing masks, and socially distancing when possibleTutors can help with a variety of subjects ranging from elementary math to AP/IB courses Tutors can help 12th grade students with college applications One-on-one tutoring and group tutoring "pods" are possible, but groups are capped at 10 people per CDC guidelinesMeeting locations are flexible (public parks, homes, etc.)
